We bought tan pants for my son to wear on Halloween for a Shaggy (Scooby-Doo) costume. They were almost dark brown, not the color in the photo. They obviously still matched the suit, but they weren't the right shade. Well stitched and held up well throughout the multiple days of wearing while going back and forth to Halloween events. Maybe they sent us the wrong color pants? IDK, but they definitely weren't shaggy brown pants, definitely dark brown. No physical claims on the pants themselves, but if you're looking for that shade of brown, just be prepared.
