Fast delivery from Revain and the knife arrived already sharp enough. Tested the slicer on a grilled rib with the bone in the primary grain and it sliced the meat with ease, almost like butter. The Rada food slicer is very light and easy to use in the kitchen. I have several other slicers (one a Hinkle) that were more expensive, heavier/thicker, difficult to sharpen for use, and actually quite bulky; couldn't even cut a turkey well last year. The Rada's lightness is much better suited to easily slicing any type of cooked meat. The Rada sharpener I just bought was excellent and has done a great job of sharpening several other straight non-serrated kitchen knives I have. Rada makes truly outstanding products. I highly recommend this item for the kitchen and dining room or anything else you might use it for.
