We bought similar 5x2 and 2.5x3 foot versions of these rugs for our kitchen after our cat finally ripped up the old ones we had. the bumps would fall off. The long one was ok. It lies perfectly flat and is a very good setup. Unfortunately, this review relates to another rug that did not produce outstanding results. The first 2.5 x 3 inch rug we bought didn't fit. Literally never. All four corners were up in the air and we all tripped over them at least three times a day. We tried to give him time to recover but that didn't happen. Here we are washed! Big mistake apparently. The corners eventually began to settle, but the outseam also began to separate from the rug itself, becoming a basement rug. It now stands at the bottom of our stairs as a potential trip hazard. We ONLY ordered a second rug as we wanted them to match and luckily this arrived, fitted well and the corners didn't curl up. We would have returned first but that was outside the return window. So let's stick with it. If they're good, they're good carpets.
