I have 2 Pit Bull mix breeds and they pull great when other dogs are around. I tried to attach the retractable leash but it's difficult to hold the bulky handle. I tried the traditional leash when they weren't around and it was harder for me to control them. They weigh about 60 pounds each, I weigh 130 pounds so they have an advantage. I bought this leash because the handle is close to the harness. I love this feature. Whenever I see someone approaching or walking down a busy street, I grab the handle closest to them. I feel much more in control, they don't bother me when they're around. Then, when the bank is clear, I switch a little further to the handle so they can smell every blade of grass 😄. Good leash at a good price, if something comes up I'll let everyone know. Try it, most likely you will be satisfied.
