For the last 15 years I have worked with different whetstone manufacturers: natural, synthetic, ceramic, diamond, polka dot and so on. I've never seen a brick that could change the shape of a broken chisel/planer as quickly as this M-Power brick. That's a beast. I used the 300 side to quickly fix a 2" wide chipped chisel. Admittedly, I didn't use the 1000 grit M-Power stone at all because I've used several of the stones above to work up to 8000 grit for a sharpness that shaved my forearm slightly. a beast when it comes to quick steel removal. This is the best coarse stone I have ever used. I'm sure it will be great for quickly restoring the chisels I sometimes bring home. I am very happy with this stone.
