This review is about two items that I bought at the same time to use together. First the problem: I have an elderly cat that I love very much, but unfortunately his recent toilet habits are ruining life in our home. He doesn't like using the tray. Instead, he pees in an unknown place: on the carpet, on dirty clothes, in the toilet (he even taught himself how to do that!), but never in the tray. I can walk into a room and smell something happened, but I can't always find the source, and I haven't had a good way of cleaning the room so there was no more smell. I've tried everything from vinegar to baking soda to pet cleaners. So I saw a black light flashlight that detects pet urine (http://www.amazon.com/GridLite-UV-Blacklight-Flashlight-Detector/dp/B017LM7QHE). ) and Pet Cleaner (Kids 'N' Pets Stain & Odor Remover, 27.05 oz Liquid, 2-pack (Pet Supplies) and decided to use both together. The black light flashlight is great. It runs on 3 AAA batteries (not included). included) but the lantern glows in the dark and shows cat pee easily. I can use it to check any room I want - the lantern is small and easy to carry, but gives a good focused light wherever I put it sometimes leaked urine in unexpected places. I then used a stain and odor remover to get rid of the smell of urine. This is the best I've ever used. I've used it on carpets, sofas ((unfortunately!) open) use the cap and place it on the exact spots that need it most.It has a pleasant smell - it's not camouflage smell, it penetrates the stain and seems to dissolve it.I recommend both of these products highly recommend - I oh found that using them together has helped make my house cleaner and smell better.
