Review on Vogana Closed Toe Waterproof Swimming Boys' Sandals by Mike Larkin

Cautious optimism

About what you would expect from the picture: - The outsole is quite durable "rubber". - Softer foam midsole. - The material is thicker and multi-layered. - External material is not afraid of water. - Velcro is durable. They do indeed come with plastic spacers (see first picture) so should be in good condition. The only pair of water boots I've had is a thinner mesh that gets wet but doesn't hold water. They are thicker and seem to hold up to water when placed under the sink. Expect them to drip. However, they dried pretty quickly. It is clear that with new shoes it is difficult to judge the quality. Nothing broke with a little tug. There weren't any major flaws, but in the second photo you can see that the stitching on the blue trim (which is actually the inner material of the shoe) is wriggling. Not sure what is intended, but these shoes are clearly not made with great attention to detail. If you need a pair of shoes for vacation, I think you will be very satisfied. Just carried it back and forth to the pool, very promising. I'm less sure about regular use, but they seem to be at the end of the value range, so they're worth a try, especially if you're a fan of the aesthetics.

Pros
  • Rubber outsole
Cons
  • Something different
