I bought the Harperton nail clipper set from Revain - a bit pricey but the customer rating was pretty high and there were a lot of reviews so I made the purchase. The clippers (big and small) looked well built and worked right out of the box. The cutting edges of both the large and small pliers were very well aligned and sharp, making it quick and easy to trim nails. No torn edges. Both sizes have a rounded edge which suits me - I don't like nail clippers with straight edges. Shortly after purchasing this clipper, I discovered the reason for so many great reviews: The company offers a "spare" set of clippers if you leave a review. Now they don't say you have to leave a GOOD review, but I thought most people who took advantage of this offer were positive, which worried me that the quality might not be as good as the reviews make it out to be emerges. I can honestly say that my assumption at the time was anything but basic. After two full years of use, these clippers cut like new - sharp, fast cuts with no ragged edges. And besides good performance, they come with a lifetime guarantee. The best scissors I've ever had. Pay a little more and get what you paid for.
