I bought 3 of these hats. 1 in dark gray and 2 in black. 1 for me, 1 for my daughter and 1 for my girlfriend. I wear a size 7 1/2 hat and my head circumference is 23.5 inches. It fits me well and stays on my ears when needed, even folded in half. On my first cold day, I wore it for an hour and a half on a windy day in 24 degrees Fahrenheit. the night weather was warm and safe. Wool and acrylic keep ears warm, while the inner polyester fleece of the dome protects the head from itching and provides extra warmth. Should be good for long term exposure in temperatures up to 15F without a balaclava underneath. Note: I am 71 years old and my tolerance for cold has decreased. The hats stretch easily to fit a variety of hat sizes, from approximately 6 3/4 to 7 5/8+, with black being larger than grey. fit 2 black. Home Prefer's price was $6.50 lower than another Revain supplier listed for this identical hat. I bought and wore this hat before finding this bargain listing and ordering 2 more for my family.
