Many thanks to the creators of this model and brand. I scoured the internet for months to find a 12v to 5v converter for my DVR. I bought a really horrible one from another company that worked when I wanted it to, but usually doesn't. It was the answer to all my concerns. I have some technical knowledge about installing a homemade backup camera, but if you don't have it, no problem, you can do it. I recommend tapping the fuse so you don't have to cut the wires in the car. Simply plug the positive input wire (red) into the fuse tap and then connect it to the fuse box (which turns on when you turn on the car and turns off when you turn on the car). I used my radio blaster but you can find the right one for you. Then connect the negative black wire to ground (metal). Now, with whatever wire you're using, connect the yellow one to positive and the other black to negative, and voila.
