THIS IS A CHEAP FAKE PLATINUM TOOLS EZ-CONNECTOR, the item I wanted to buy. THIS IS IMITATION GARBAGE, DO NOT BUY IT. I threw the whole jar in the trash and bought regular platinum plugs. Angry at Amazon for allowing a fake company to place targeted ads at the top of the page when you search "Platinum EZ" for this thing. I have made hundreds of ethernet patch cords. I decided to try connections for low light operation in closets. Apparently I mixed up the brand and fell for this crappy fake. In fact, they are much MORE DIFFICULT to use than a standard no-pass RJ-45. The quality control is terrible. One connector out of 10 had a hole spacing and dimensions accurate enough to actually allow all 4 pairs to pass through the connector. Also, for most of its length, the connector is made without "grooves" that align the wires before they tuck under the pins. Without these flutes, it becomes very difficult to keep your pairs from jumping over each other. The quality of the connector as a whole is clearly not inferior to the standard RJ-45, there is less material and it is not crimped as tightly.
