I haven't used them on hair. EXACTLY this color and thickness I needed for a handbag and to match the accent threads of a tote bag. The bag closes at the top with just one central magnet and when you travel you want your bags to be very secure. So I used 2 of these ribbons to hold the copper accented bird to cover the ends of the 2 handles on one side of the bag entrance. So the back of the bag is not accessible as you are carrying it on your right shoulder. Trust me, someone who worked at the store said she reached into her purse and felt someone's hand there!
