Bought for my German Shepherd who sheds a lot. I use Animal with my Dyson Slim-Ball. Took the wand off the hose to use and it connects easily. There is a button on the top of the brush that opens the bristles. When you release the button, the protective cover hides the bristles, causing the hair to be sucked into the vacuum hose. The bristles are weak, thin, metallic, but they do an excellent job of pulling up fallen hair. Because they hide when the button isn't pressed, they remain protected when the brush isn't actively being used. Generally great for medium to long haired dogs but not suitable for short haired dogs as the metal bristles can scratch and rash. The vacuum cleaner makes cleaning and disposal easier.
