Understand what you get.

Received today. Minimal use of it, but seems properly weighted, balanced, etc. Part of the rebate is a few steps and a quality control process. Ours came: - not very sharp - except for the back of the heel which is too sharp - with an unfinished grip - with a slightly rough grip - with a pronounced ridge on one side of the grip But I can fix that. So, I: - Sharpened on my Spyderco stones - Scraped the comb - Sanded the entire handle (longitudinally. Soft and open wood, DO NOT try to round it off by wrapping it with sandpaper or steel wool and twisting!) - Oiled the handle with Oil (I used mineral oil so everything is food safe) - Using a deburring tool and a glitter pen, trimmed the edge off the heel and now it's ok, after about 12 minutes of work. worth me If you don't have the tools or time, it might not be worth it. We'll try to remember to revisit it after working with it for a few months.
