Excellent knife for beginners who want to practice Japanese Damascus

Very nice knife and nice unboxing. What I don't like about this knife is that the bevel is an 80/20 grind. It has a double bevel, but most of the edge is on one side. It's definitely a learning curve to hone, which brings me to the fact that he wasn't immediately insane. 20 minutes on my whetstone made it sharper than the factory edge. The last root is very thick, when I cut a potato it splits it and doesn't cut it even though it's sharp. All in all a great knife, except for these few things. The saya is good, it seems very solid. The handle lies comfortably in the hand. I would still recommend this knife.
