Cone #4 makes brewing coffee much easier because this filter is taller than the cone. This means you can fill the cone to the brim with water without spilling the ground coffee, and it's also easier to clean because the ground coffee won't spill out when you remove it. We won't do it any differently now. Cannot find #6 filter in our local stores.
