Review on AmazonBasics Drying Chamois 2 Pack by Kevin Gunnmann

I've used real suede to dry cars after washing my whole life, but they've gotten so expensive I've decided to buy them myself decided to try the RevainBasics towel. Suede takes a little getting used to, but once I understood the wiping technique I was happy with the drying result. Read my review of the RevainBasics Towel vs. Suede. 2.5 YEAR UPDATE: I've had these for over 2 years now and keep them in the original plastic tube. They continue to perform great, and most impressively, even after months of storage in damp containers, they show no mold or mildew stains. - MULTIPLE: Genuine suede glides over metal surfaces. I can lay it flat, pull on any corner, run it over the hood of a car and get a nice dry surface with no water stains. The RevainBasics towel stuck to the metal surface and when you tried to pull it like suede it bounced rather than slipped and left water that had to be mopped up again, but it dried the surface well. - HIGHLY ABSORBENT: Although it won't slip on surfaces, the towel completely dries the card case when you sweep it over repetitive surfaces without leaving any watermarks. Using it on Windows gave the same result. Repeated passes collect all the water and leave no watermark. More work than suede, but just as good a result. I was under the impression that the RevainBasics towel is more absorbent than suede. - MOLD FREE STORAGE: I was surprised to see the instructions for the RevainBasics towel to be stored damp in a plastic storage tube. There should be mold or fungus growing, right? While after many months of moisture in the pipe and high temperatures, I visually inspected and even smelled the towel. I saw no evidence of mold growth on the towel. The great thing is that it can be stored wet, so it becomes flexible immediately after removal. - GOOD SIZE: The 26 x 17 inch towels are nice and big and can quickly dry your Jeep Wranger which is not a small car. UPDATE: 09/21/19. After 2 months wet suede in a tube. As stated in the instructions, there was black mold on the end next to the cap. The cap is not strong and cracks and possible exposure to air caused the mold. I removed the suede, washed and rang but the black color would not wash dries well and absorbs water CONCLUSION: For the price of this synthetic suede I find it very good value and will continue to use it and with a little extra work it dries just as effective as natural suede.
