I wasn't sure what to expect from this bag as there were so many conflicting reviews. When I first took it out of the box, I smelled an odor that overwhelmed any delight I would have gotten just by looking at the bag. He was tightly wrapped in plastic which I think made him sweat a bit which made the smell unbearable. I needed this bag for a trip I was going to take and I was afraid someone would think I smelled like a goat and not a bag. One reviewer said the smell went away after three days, but to be honest it took me about a week. With the smell gone I can now honestly enjoy the beauty of this bag. Mine wasn't as dark as the first. Photos but I really wasn't expecting this as this type of material can vary in shade. It's a really good bag and it's handy for traveling or carrying things to work. I recommend it, but definitely let it air out for a week or more.
