Small diameter only 1 7/8 inch. The soup spoons they would replace are almost 2 1/4 inches in diameter. They are also very thin and light. To have more dessert spoons than soup spoons, the soup spoon should be the size of a tablespoon, not a teaspoon. Very high-quality building polish, beautifully finished, no rough edges. But they are definitely not for me. I will be returning them along with other cutlery that I have purchased. Also in terms of construction they are worth the money but they are small along with other cutlery I have bought. You prefer lighter cookware than this one for you. As for me, I prefer something substantial.
