Swapping and upgrading worked like clockwork

If you have a modern flat screen TV and use it with more than one peripheral (e.g. Roku, Blu-Ray player, PS, etc.) you know You know how important it is to have an original TV remote control. Being disabled, the outdated toggle on/off option is impractical. In fact, I found it almost impossible to use the buttons hidden halfway behind the TV. The brand name here also added to the problem because I've never gotten Dynex electronics to successfully pair with regular universal remotes. We had the original TV remote control with us when we bought it. Unfortunately he died and the new batteries did not revive him. We tearfully said goodbye to it before finally dropping it and trying to find an OEM replacement. Unfortunately, the original remote control for our TV was no longer available. This Dynex OEM Remote from Beyution Factory was named as the successor, which made me a little nervous. Despite being the same brand name, sometimes replacement remotes don't work as well or at all. (The ex-mechanic is here. Believe me, I've seen them all.) Luckily for us, this little remote looks just like the old model and works a lot better. We put in some AAA batteries, pointed them at the TV and voila! It worked immediately with no issues and continues to work. I've been messing around with all the buttons, going into menus and sub-menus, basically testing to make sure it's doing what it needs to do and it's done everything brilliantly. The old remote was always a bit stubborn - you had to hit the button 2 or 3 times every now and then to get it working. Eventually it got to the point where it stopped responding at all, even after removing and replacing the batteries, shaking, winning and eating. Upgrading to a newer model has completely eliminated this problem. If you're looking to replace the Dynex remote and your device is on the list of devices supported by this model, it's worth buying. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.

Pros
  • Same as everything
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
