I have used Prismaclor colored pencils for many years. When sharpening, most sharpeners break off the tips. This sharpener was sold as the Prismacolor sharpener for many years. I found out that the metal sharpener was made inside of Koom. Now this sharpener is marked Kum. I've found it works well for watercolor pencils too. The secret is to keep the pencil steady and twist the sharpener. I don't know why it works better, but it works. If you use colored or watercolor pencils, look for a Kum brand sharpener. Some are equipped with additional blades attached to the side.
