My 12 year old son is modest and doesn't want to swim shirtless. Now he's taller than me, so we don't shop in the boys' section anymore. Our local stores don't sell men's swim trunks so it was online! I ordered men large. This shirt is true to size. The material drains water quickly (e.g. cotton t-shirts hold water and then the t-shirt gets heavy and hangs on you - this t-shirt doesn't). He said it was convenient. It is very stretchy and keeps the sun out. He's very white, although we don't have red hair lol, and he's not tanned or tanned under his shirt.
