I study geology and I like smashing hard rocks with this thing. Don't get me wrong, the classic E-Wing 22 is great for medium use in softer rock, it's lighter too, but in a field full of volcanic formations or hard rock you just need something. stronger. Sometimes you get in that mood at the end of the day and feel like chopping haphazard facies off some brutally resilient quartzite, or smashing some basalt right into the olivine, and this thing is perfect for that. I only wish E-Wing had a version with a pointed end for when you need to dig or pry a bit, maybe like a chopping sledgehammer, but with a forged metal handle and quality construction instead of the insanely overpriced, overly long and flimsy handles made of wood or fiberglass that exist. Once I'm out of the world of geology students, I'm sure this thing will still accompany me on weekend trips looking for rocks. Unfortunately, I doubt there are many geologists left in the world who still use jackhammers more than computers, which is quite a shame since breaking rocks is so much fun and "work" too to name.
