This is a decent lower cost, lower quality diamond file. Mine had even coverage, didn't lose much grit in the first two uses on carbon tool steel and aluminum, and was hard enough to give good control when trying to hold a corner. They are best suited for non-steel applications but seem to work well for softer steels as well. It would be nice if the grip was flattened/wider for better control, but you can always take the PVC off and put the grip on top if you like. My experience with cheaper diamond products has been very mixed, mostly disappointment but a worthwhile experience.
