Difficult to describe but not as "tight" as the original in my Hakko 599B. I used 2 of these as spares. When you push or pull the iron, they feel soft and not as harsh as OEMs. The threads seem to stretch. It works, but it takes a little more effort to remove all the solder than the originals. Sounds finicky, but if you're soldering electronics, you don't need that distraction. I mean they're cheap, will probably last a month or a year before I need more, but I'll probably try a different brand next time.
