I used the small grip controls with Gerbing gloves and balaclava. The heat was never consistent and all the cords were uncomfortable. This regulator maintains constant heating of the transmission. I never thought my heated gear could be this good. Once you've got your bike running, just open the app on your phone. Set the heat level the way you want it. I drive in 35% weather, I have a small windshield and no fairing. I set the gloves to 7 and the jacket to 5. Any more and they just get too hot. Just turn off your phone and no more fumbling with it until you turn off your device. The process only takes a few seconds. This is a wonderful product and I wish I had known about it sooner.
