I confess I'm not good with cables. Most of the time I have my laptop on my lap because I'm sitting on the couch and my dog doesn't care if he tugs at the cable when jumping up or down. I don't need the bells and whistles on my laptop, so now I have a third inexpensive Lenovo laptop. My biggest problem was that I have a hard time finding a replacement cable for Lenovo that is no more expensive than a computer. Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but I hope you get the point! Another problem is finding a cable that fits snugly and doesn't fall out when I'm using the laptop on my lap. I had never heard of Dexpt before and wasn't sure if the charger I was trying to try had the right connector. and I wasn't sure if it had the longer cord I wanted. In the past, using a longer cable meant a looser fit, and when I contacted Lenovo they told me they don't make chargers with longer cables. The charger arrived today and it is perfect. It is permanently attached to the port and has remained attached throughout the evening so far. I don't remember if other replacement cables have these features, but I like that it has overheat, overload, temperature, over-voltage, and short-circuit protection. And when I set it up, I found that the cord was longer than the short one that came with the laptop; that's 7.5 feet! Finally, they have a 12 month protection plan for only $22! I will change my rating if I run into any issues but for now this is exactly what I was looking for in a charging cable.
