I collected a lot of furniture so it should have been easy. Although the instructions can be a bit vague at times since they only use pictures as a guide, they get the job done. The overall process would be easier if the equipment fitted properly. I thought they were too big holes but when I took them apart I was able to tighten the screws in the holes with no problem. The fact is that when both parts were together, the screw was not long enough. The base was so unstable that I didn't even intend to use it; However, my husband pulled a few longer screws from the box and that tightened everything just enough to stabilize it. The process was so frustrating and took longer than it should as I spent so much time making sure I had the correct bolt pack by disassembling, troubleshooting, reassembling, looking for wood glue etc.
