Review on Riedel Cabernet/Merlot Wine Series Glass Set, Clear, Pack of 2 by Haley Johnson

I have a whole glass from the Riedel Vinum series and I needed to add more good glasses to my collection and I thought I could trust the brand and save some money as I retire am. Wow, I regret this choice because I paid too much for the quality of these glasses. Of course I expected a thicker border. It's thick but no melted/twisted edge so not my favorite but ok. The stem and connection to the bowl and base are terrible. Composed of four small, twisted bars connected into a column, the stem feels *horrible* in your hand. A kind of stepped shape of the beehive merges with the bowl and the base. I hate that I spent money on this because I am going to buy Vinums. It could be $5 glasses instead of $15. Not worth the Riedel name at all - buy a large multipack box instead or upgrade to the Vinum range.
