I'm a nail enthusiast and have been doing manicures since I was a child. I started doing gel nails at home over 10 years ago and have spent many dollars on this hobby. I can't believe how affordable these kits are today compared to 10+ years ago. I remember buying a set from Sephora that didn't even have half the items in the set and cost well over $150. At $30 this kit is a steal. If you're looking to start making your own gel nails at home, look no further. The lamp is small, but it's enough. It dries and colors gel polish well, but takes a little longer than my large LED nail lamp. Dark colors also take longer to cure than lighter colors. Gel polishes are small but work well. The brushes are easy to apply. A bottle of Gellack is probably enough for more than 10 full-fledged manicures. Remember to use THIN layers. I managed to do a manicure with gel polish in about 30 minutes. A week later the gel polish is in excellent condition with no signs of chipping. Be sure to cover the edges and try not to paint over the cuticles so the manicure will last longer. Comes with 1 base coat, a top coat and 20 different colors. No matte top coat, most of these kits come with a matte top coat but this kit does not. Additional accessories are pleasant to the touch and practical, of fairly good quality. As for the colored gel polishes, no colors are listed above, I have to do it myself with the stickers provided. All other kits have colors already marked. I think this would be a great gift for those who want to start gel manicure at home. Great for teenagers and young adults.
