My 2004 Camry has an oxygen sensor before and after the catalytic converter and an air and fuel sensor on the exhaust manifold. My check engine light came on. The error code indicated that my bank 1 sensor 1 was not working properly. Replacing the mass air flow sensor solved the problem. It was pretty easy to fix. I removed the shielding over the exhaust manifold and used the sensor removal bushing to pry it out. I didn't really know what I was doing so it took me about an hour to replace this. It should have been about 20 minutes of work. But my mechanic wanted about $400 for the job, so it was time well spent.
