Review on Engine Harmonic Balancer Dorman 594-279 Compatible with Hyundai / Kia Select Models by Jeffrey Kue

There was a problem with the OEM Kia shims coming loose from the rubber bushing. Thought Dorman might be an improvement. Had not. This is an OEM Kia called the Dorman. Due to the load from the air conditioning pump, the outer ring (belt pulley) breaks off the rubber insulator. In the end it was decided to simply glue the outer ring to the rubber liner with a generous, well-filled coat of 3M 5200 Marine Sealant and clean well with denatured alcohol before gluing. It has lasted longer than a new balancer. Also cheaper. can't beat it
