Review on Ineo M.2 2280 SSD Rocket Heatsink with Internal Cooling Fan [M3] by Robert Tyus

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best cooler for M.2 drives!

I wouldn't say the airflow in my MSI Sekira 500x case is amazing, but it's good enough for cooling. Most of my temperatures are pretty low around 40 degrees at idle (even my Ryzen 3900x). I have 360mm fans on top, 2x200mm fans on the front and 140mm on the back. I have used standard passive heatsinks on MSI x570 Meg Ace mobo for Sabrent Rocket 4.0 500GB and 1TB drives. 500GB was fine, the passive heatsink maxed out at around 49C at times, but it only works with my OS and that's it. However, the 1TB got very hot up to 65°C while gaming, normally between 36-40°C when idle. With the INEO Rocket heat sink, the idle temperatures remain stable at 30 degrees Celsius and do not exceed 47 degrees during heavy games. This cooler is SUPER! I DEFINITELY recommend it! I see several reviews here that say they used Grizzly thermal tape. Don't hesitate to spend money. The ribbon that came with INEO is fine and works great. Also, I can't hear the fan compared to other case fans. My fans run at full blast most of the time and I wear headphones so the fan noise doesn't bother me. I will also be replacing the passive heatsink covering my 500 Gbps Sabrent Rocket 4.0 with an INEO Rocket. Thank you INEO for such a great product!
