Quick and easy solution for ceiling ventilation
I had to air out the closed gables of a small outbuilding and it worked. It's important to keep the drill steady when drilling a 2" hole, as wobbling will widen the hole and weaken the fit. I installed four in under half an hour and pressed them all into a 5/8 inch diameter plywood shaft. enough, three very tight after realizing my hesitation in drilling the first hole resulted in a loose (but good enough) fit. Make sure you slide the blinds in the correct orientation as they will not move easily once installed. Painting after installation is not a problem.
