Okay, I like that thing. I'm a big bibliophile so I was very excited when I saw this. It's a little smaller than I expected, but the measurements shown in the photos are roughly accurate, so I just wasn't paying attention. It's actually a big size though. This is approximately 5 ⅝ inches by 4 ½ inches by ⅞ inches. Mine arrived dead. It comes with a USB charging/power cable (approx. 37 inches long). The description says it takes 3-4 hours to charge and then works wirelessly for 3.5 hours (despite the packaging claiming 5-6 hours of battery life). When you plug it in, a small red light comes on next to the connector (not visible when it's off) and it should turn blue when the battery is fully charged, but that didn't happen for me. The red light just went out. At first I tried to attach the lamp to the fridge but it just slipped off and I thought: oh weak magnets! But then I noticed that the front of my fridge is slightly curved. So I attached it to my flat top dishwasher and it stuck there very well. I could open and close the book and it stuck like me. When you open the book flat (both "covers" stick to the dishwasher) it holds up beautifully and looks very cool. But if you only have a small metal surface to "hang" it on, it will hang fine with just one of the magnets. The magnets are actually quite small, about a quarter the size, located closer to the center, "open" edges on each side (you can't see them). So you don't need much to attach them. Unless it's glued to something, it doesn't stay open very well (although you can detach it if you'd like). It can be lined up, partially open or 360 degrees open with the lids folded back and glued together to create a round lamp. Every time you open the book, the temperature of the light changes. There is very warm light, natural light and white light. This is a very attractive diffused light. However, it's really for atmosphere, not function. It does not shine as brightly as in the manufacturer photos. Expect the amount of light a small clip-on book lamp puts out, except the light is more diffused and diffused. You *could* read in front of it if it's next to what you're reading, but the light wouldn't be enough if it was mounted on your bedside table, for example, or on the wall behind you. , or something similar. You pretty much need it to be relevant to what you read. It really wouldn't be good for that purpose except as a last resort. The light is really more like a night light. For vision, finding your glasses or something nearby would be enough, but it won't illuminate the entire room. But you can always take it with you and take it anywhere. Something like a weak, clunky flashlight. But let me tell you, this thing is gorgeous and so cute. This will make a fantastic gift for anyone who loves books. If someone would give me that, I would be happy. So I'm very glad I got it for myself! It would look great on a bookshelf for a little accent lighting. i really like him
