Review on πŸ”΄ Efficiently Sharpen Your Pencils with Uni KH-20 Hand Crank Wooden Pencil Sharpener - Red (Japan Import) by Wendy Rodriguez

The best sharpener I've ever used

I've been using the Uni KH-20 sharpener for about three years, my old one lasted a good two and a half years. The old one still sharpens but it doesn't give me as much delicacy as the new Uni KH-20 so I bought it again. So if, like me, you need that extra thin tip for your work, you may need to buy it back in a few years. I'm not sure if there's a way to sharpen the blade, but I'll take a look. If you've ever worked with Prismacolor Premier colored pencils, you know how fragile they are. Prismacolors tend to break every time you sharpen them and this sharpener is the only one I can use to sharpen my Prismacolors without falling apart. If you've been sharpening pencils for a while and find that they break, I would recommend emptying the sharpener. For some reason this solves an issue for me where my pins start breaking again. In my opinion, it works better with an empty container. Great sharpener, gives the perfect point for precision work and also extends the life of your pencils. I know some people will try to resharpen their pencils by twisting the handle until there is no pressure (you know how the pressure builds up until the pencil is fully sharpened?). I don't think it's necessary to sharpen a pencil until the pressure on the grip is gone. If you sharpen it, usually 2 or 3 turns of the handle is enough to get it sharp again. I've used this sharpener with Prismacolor, Caran D'Ache Luminance, Faber Castel Polychromos and Derwent Drawing pencils (most of which have different body sizes) and this sharpener worked great with all of them. If anyone has any questions about this sharpener I would be more than happy to answer them.
