I wear a size 8 beanie. This hat slips on easily without leaving a trace of ribs on your forehead or feeling so loose it's about to fall off. It's big enough to cover my ears and if needed not only cover my ears but also cover part of my neck over the collar of my jacket. It offered tolerable warmth when wet, and while it took some time to dry (there wasn't enough of it on the table overnight, so I wore it until it dried), it didn't change shape or size. The Columbia decal on the hat is non-removable. The instructions say to hand wash and lay flat to dry, stretching from time to time as it dries. I'm considering giving them to my sons.
