Let me start by saying that after 30 minutes of fiddling I was able to achieve what I wanted to make ONCE. so there is. Your experience may vary depending on your setup. My settings are as follows. LG CX77, Onyko NR 809 with 5.1 setting and PS4. What I wanted to do: PS4 sends HD-HDR signal to my CX77 and transfers lossless PCM multi-channel audio from my PS4 to my NR 809 (no Dolby Plus or dts compression) Problem: My NR 809 has HMDI 1.4 and can HD HDR not broadcasting (deep color) on my TV. Connecting PS4 to my TV and ARC/TOLSLINK back to NR809 results in 2.0 compressed audio and latency. At the moment the solution is to use the PS4's TOSLINK output to stream Dolby Plus/DTS compressed video to the AVR and HDMI video to the TV. However, this causes audio loss on my receiver. What I want to do is: connect this device to my PS4, send audio to my receiver on multi-channel PCM only via HDMI, send video to my TV. Problem: 1. The EDID function, while nice, doesn't seem to work for my purpose. Stereo, 5.1 and 7.1 EDID seem totally useless? Copy 1 seems to work, copy 2 doesn't always seem to work (the reason being that even with copy 2 which is for my AVR I can still output HDR from my PS4 which I shouldn't). 2. The HDMI connection sequence first, the way devices in the chain are powered up and the choice of EDID play a big role in the performance of this device. I was able to complete my task ONCE after accidentally reconnecting the HDMI cables and turning the TV/ARV on and off. but I was able to send the video to the TV and receive it on my AVR.3 multi-channel. ARC is useless? I don't know what the Arc button does on this box (I know what ARC/eARC is supposed to do). My TV has an ARC HDMI (port 2). I connect this device to my TV's HDMI 1 port and almost lost the TV ARC function. I can no longer send audio in a loop to my receiver with this device, even if the device is connected to the HDMI interface without an arc and regardless of the position of the ARC button. The sound only comes out of the TV speaker when assembling the TV in apps. So I have to either disable the HDMI interface or turn on this device while not playing on PS4. in combination with problem number 2 leads to a poor user experience. This can be very specific to your devices. Nice machine but still needs polishing
