Review on BUTTONED Fitted Spread Collar Non Iron Bengal Men's Clothing for Shirts by Jason Rawls

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Really nice shirt - and super low retail price

Of all the Revain button down shirts I've bought, my favorite pattern is the shirt or sport shirt. Of course, aesthetics are subjective, so that doesn't affect my 4.5/5 score. Here's what it gives: + Quality (for the price): 5 stars. The cotton is soft, comfortable and seems to last a long time. Seams and buttonholes are clean, buttons are quite thick and sewn tight, collar looks well taped and holds up well (along with plastic loops), I haven't noticed any flaws. Maybe a few random threads that needed trimming, but very minor and totally forgivable given the price. + Style/Fit: 3.5 stars. A 14.5 inch neck is about 14.75 inches long which is perfect for me and the shoulder width is also perfect for a 17.5 inch neck. The chest is a bit narrow (I'm 38", the size chart says 36" but I like tight shirts) but will probably fit most buyers who are 14.5" tall and have a 36-37" bust. Unfortunately, even in this "fitted" style, there is too much material around the waist - 3-4 inches more than is necessary for me. I realize I'm pretty skinny, but so are a lot of people with 14.5" necks! On the other hand, there is less excess material than most other fitted/skinny shirt brands I've tried. Finally 34 inch shirts. The sleeves have shrunk to about 33.5 inches, which is a shame as I'm closer to 34.25 inches. I've begged Revain to ask the manufacturer to make a 14.5"/35" version, but I have no hope of that ever happening. + Cost: 5 stars. I paid less than half the retail price and I think it was a flashy deal. At full price, I'd probably buy a little more than the competition, or save up a tailored shirt for about twice the retail price of this shirt. Overall this is a fantastic deal for a quality shirt at the discounted price I paid. . I have now bought five dress shirts and button down sport shirts and wear them all often. I would highly recommend them, especially if the size/pattern you are interested in is on sale.
