I don't think it fits that well.
Definitely not a size 8, compared to other garments in this size, tight to the body. The length is good. Bought for 6 years old, tall and thin. Hugs too tight.

- Shrinks heavily in washer/dryer, size up. Nice design but impossible to wear after the first wash...
