This knife is very different from anything I have. I like the look (mine is titanium black) and the feel. One piece style is very cool. I wish the handle was a little heavier. I know others who like the lighter weight, but I feel that the heavier handle makes the knife easier to use. I didn't find the blade particularly sharp. I had to sharpen it when it arrived. I love the size and shape and the fact that it's slightly larger than a paring knife but still has a similar shape. For those who want to buy this knife as their first "good" knife. It is important to know that this knife should be hand washed like any other high quality knife. I advise you not to wash an expensive knife in the dishwasher. In this case, I suspect the black finish will eventually wear off if you put it in the dishwasher.
