I'm from California moving to Chicago and this coat is a life saver! Pros: - Feels like you are literally carrying a large sleeping bag. It's very warm, even with a biting wind. - Fleece-lined pockets to keep hands warm even without a heating pad. - LONG! I'm 5ft 7" and the coat falls about 6" above my ankles and 3-4 layers fit underneath. The size is accurate. No surprises with XL. I'm curvy (read: I need room for my bust) and XL fits perfectly with a little more room even if I'm wearing 3-4 thick layers underneath. The zipper is plastic but thick and very durable. The Bad: - It literally looks like a nice sleeping bag. It's a functional coat so don't buy it if you care about fashion (although I don't really care if my goal is to stay warm). The elastic drawstring in the hood broke within a week after a very slight pull. Be careful when adjusting the hood.
