We usually carve our pumpkins with those little tools that you buy at the supermarket that come with the template book. So we loved carving with these tools because they were intricate, sharp, and looked like serious woodworking tools. This allows you to carry out delicate work, e.g. For example, just peeling the skin of a pumpkin, or cutting deep through several layers without cutting all the way through. Cuts are neat and clean! One of the best tools in the set was a large spatula with serrated edges. This sped up the work of peeling the squash and flattening the inside. Also, the jagged edge turned into a comb of sorts that we could use to rake the seeds out of the fibrous pulp! Yay pumpkin seeds! All in all, this is a really cool set that will help you go beyond the usual jack-o'-lantern! By the way, you can also use the tools to carve other items like apples or watermelons!
