Finally, a drywall anchor that actually works! Too bad I didn't know about this sooner because they really work. I used up my first set and bought another one. Just a few things to note 1) You need to drill a pilot hole first and that leaves about 1/4 hole in the wall (this will be covered by the switch insert but make sure you don't have to drill holes first drill in the whole wall). 2) You need to make sure the wall is really hollow inside - for the switch to work it has to go through the drywall when folded, so it needs room to climb in. The butterfly tips will then open AFTER using the red nail-like insert, which you press to expand the tabs. These are the protrusions that then grab the inside of the wall and hold the mug (and whatever you're hanging) in place. Once the tabs are open, screw in the screw and finally hang your item. 3) They work fantastic - as long as you use them on drywall AND there really is a gap there. If for some reason you hit a bolt, wiring or other obstacle, they will not work. This might seem obvious to some, but I think it's worth pointing out. The bottom line is the best I've ever used for hanging items on drywall - we've used them to hang shelves, pictures etc etc.
