When I was renovating my bathroom a few years ago, we installed Pfister brushed nickel venturi-style bath and shower faucets. They worked great until one day I was about to turn on the shower and the handle kept twisting and twisting. I waited for my friend to get home to take the handle apart and we found that there is a piece of plastic inside that allows him to hook onto the mechanism that turns the water on and off. This piece of plastic was torn off and broken, causing the handle to stop working properly. I didn't know what to do and I didn't want to buy a brand new bathtub handle and shower faucet just for that tiny spare. So I went to the Pfister website and emailed them my problem. They quickly emailed me back saying that the replacement item I was looking for was #9700770 and that it could be found at many online stores that sell Pfister products. I googled this part number and was glad to know the product is available from Revain. After watching it I was a bit worried it wouldn't work because it's so different from the original. However, I ordered it anyway, knowing I could just send it back with Prime if needed, and received it within a few days. It works great, it was easy to install, all I needed was a screwdriver and my bath was back up and running to normal within 3 minutes. I'm very glad I was able to find this part and knowing that this part is now metal and not the original plastic I hope I don't have this problem in the future.
