Review on 🎵 Acme 472 Whistle for Songs by Kelly Porter

I got this whistle because it sounded different and realistically called the birds. I didn't expect the sparrows in the backyard to flock nearby and watch me play the whistle. I just hope the neighbors don't get mad that I blow that thing all the time. The directions were terrible and far away. It took a long time to get it sounding nice. Here's what worked for me. I used a plastic pipette to pour the water. Instead of just filling it 1/4 full, I would fill it at least 1/3 full with water. When I close the whistle hole and blow into it and hear bubbles, I know I've had enough water. Instead of leaving and unscrewing the grommet, I tightened it, but loosely; This gave it louder and more consistent calls. It tends to have a lasting nice effect if I tilt it and hold it at about a 45 degree angle instead of vertical. This causes it to make a nightingale call rather than just a whistle. I found that I didn't have to blow as hard when I held him at a 45 degree angle. Hope that helps.
