The ultimate waterbed, the best mattresses and box springs

I've had three or four of these over the years and this is the best so far. Ordering and delivery were very easy and on time. In fact, I received it about two weeks before I could set it up because I had to finish some work to move to a new house. Installation was very easy. I think it's quite remarkable since (a) I'm quite old (everyone thinks it's hard for us) and (b) I don't remember how I did it 30 years ago when I bought this , which I just threw away before I moved here . I lined the bed in a new liner and it fit perfectly. The drain/fill kit was the same as my old one, so the technology hasn't changed much. And it worked fine. The fill instructions have been careful to point out that if there are several inches of water in the layer, we should make any positional adjustments that seem necessary. I don't think I really had to do anything, but I introduced a corner where there was a millimeter of offset, so I made that tiny adjustment. The instructions also talked about removing air pockets from the bed. But they didn't draw attention to the feature of this bed that I didn't have in my previous beds. This bed has TWO water fill/drain points - one on each side at one end of the bed! So I could probably avoid air pockets if I just opened another fill point when the bed was about half full and just let the water squeeze the air out. So make sure you take advantage of this great feature. Of course, this also means that if you need to release some air, you don't have to remove the hose to do so. And it's a big help, as you can imagine if you've set something up like this before. If you remove the hose, it is very easy to spill enough water. And then you need someone to hold it while you deflate and then reattach it (another opportunity for spillage since the hose should still be filled with water) to complete the filling. So this setup was as simple as it gets. I only spent four nights on the bed but I went a month without it and I was sure I would come back. It's less wavy than my previous one and it's nice and comfortable. The top is flatter than the previous one which actually looked rounder (as you would expect from a large water bag). It is better. One more thing. I was a little nervous about the size. The bed says "King" and I know my frame is for a California king. It was the right size. So don't worry about this question. Of course I don't know how this is supposed to work if your king isn't my size!
