I have 4 cat pans and find it very easy and quick. I actually found that if you pour the litter into the colander in the corner of the cat bowl, all the dirt goes into the colander. I don't think this strainer is for people who wait weeks to empty litter boxes. I do this every other day and it works great. I used to clean them once a week and experimented with them and waiting that long was a problem when you have 4 cats using them. Doing this every other day now takes quite a long time compared to before. I get 8-13 gallon garbage bags to stack the mess. Fast and easy learning process for each person. It's not for those who want to wiggle their noses and magically automatically make it how they want it.
