The board is heavy and beautiful. If you want a light board this isn't it. I haven't used the board yet. Just received and I'm thrilled with the look. The board does not need to be oiled before use. He's already smeared. It was nicely packaged in a foam box. The board does not scratch, very smooth over the entire cut surface. What makes this product PERFECT is smoothing out dents. I noticed that the feeding slot has a rough surface. They don't make a huge difference, but they make the whole product 100%. After less than a month of use, the board showed cracks between the wood sections. At the same time, my other board, a wooden hinoki, feels good. I think the manufacturing and finish of this board needs improvement. UPDATE: I was contacted by Tiffany from the company (she read the reviews here). She was very concerned about customer satisfaction and fully supported her product. She offered to send me another board. She never mentioned that I needed to update or change the review. And I have never contacted the company for a refund or exchange even though the board is guaranteed 1 year. The concern for customer satisfaction far exceeds my expectations. I understand that wood expands and contracts so I never complained to the company and wanted to seal the cracks. The Board of Directors may have uncontrollable problems, but they have excellent support from the company. I like it. Thanks Tiffany.Latest. After 2 weeks of use, the new board is working perfectly. This time I oiled the board before first use and again when I saw that the edge started to dry after about 2 weeks.
