You must use the battery clamps to inflate more than 25psi.

This is a small pump. the picture makes it big. It works well, pumping up to 25psi or so when plugged into the cigarette lighter. If you want more, consider connecting it directly to the battery with the included battery clamp and extra cables to inflate your car tire to 45psi. I didn't go higher as my car is a sedan but if you have a big truck with big tires you probably need a little more but in an emergency it has everything you need to fix a flat tire and a tire pump up. Backup so you go to the right tire shop. i will keep it
